Along with an exciting career path offering significant salaries for individuals who advance within the industry, mining jobs offer travel possibilities as well.
Since the major mining companies now run mines and operations on literally every continent of the world except for Antarctica, an individual has a good chance of landing a job where they will be well paid to live in another country, as well as to enjoy the benefits of getting to meet foreign nationals and experience a different culture entirely.
As an example, “allarounders” in the Australian mining sector make upwards of $100,000 per year.
Entry level jobs are not so exciting and lucrative, revolving around driving a dump truck, working behind the scenes in the administrative office, or providing food catering services to the voracious miners themselves, but they will at least get you inside the mining industry.
The mining industry has experienced a fifty percent rate of personnel growth over the last decade or so, highlighting the careers’ future in this exciting field. Although there are a number of minimal educational level positions available, many of the better ones require advanced degrees, or at least certificates earned from apprenticeships. Below is a list of a number of different mining job opportunities and careers, along with their certification or educational requirements to be considered seriously for them.
